(APB-12MRDL shown)
The APB family of controllers provide a wide range
of analog, digital and high speed processing options.
The APB family of PLCs is UL508a
compliant when used with Class II power. (Applicable to the DC units.) Slave
UL508a compliant relays should be used when switching voltages greater than 48
Vdc.
The APB operator interface panel (HMI) provides
for a fully graphic LCD screen to display and modify time, I/O status and
counter/timer/analog values. Up to 64 user defined display screens are
supported. Eight key inputs (4 function keys, 4 direction keys) allow operators
to traverse menus and to enter and modify parameter values.
AC powered units provide AC digital inputs and
Relay outputs.
DC powered units provide DC digital inputs and
Relay or solid state outputs.
DC powered digital inputs include high 4 high
speed inputs that allow accelleration/decelleration pulse monitoring, PWM
outputs and advanced counter operations.
DC Powered units also allow the inputs to be
optionally treated as 0-10 Vdc analog inputs. Analog processing capabilities
include the ability to compare analog values and to trigger digital events using
preset analog thresholds. Additionally, the APB family provides a
comprehensive MATH functional block to provide arithmetic processing as well as
14 additional analog functional blocks address amplification, linearization and
multiplexing of signals.
Optional interface units allow the connection of a
GSM based (cell phone) telephone interface, allowing remote call-up and control
and a Modbus communications module.
DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
APB Controllers are programmed using a
Function Block Programming language. The APBSoftware program development package
provides an integrated programmer, debugger, simulator and real-time monitor in
one convenient Windows based package at no cost.
